I don't know about you but periodically my mind wanders back to the Outlander season three finale and I wonder: Why didn't they tells us who survived the shipwreck? So I thought I'd pose some questions I know I'd like addressed or have possibly been address on Twitter.
1. Did everyone survive the shipwreck?
Jamie and Claire washed up on shore alive only to be found by a couple who tell them they are in the Colonies. But when last Claire came up from below deck of the Artemis; Young Ian, Fergus, Marsali and the rest of the crew were on board. So did these people survive? Did you rescue Young Ian only to let him die at sea? Are Fergus and Marsali going to be able to build a life together?
I'm thinking they are fine because the Fraser's do have amazing luck and it would seem really wrong to build up some of these characters, bring them all this way only to leave them in season three.
Much like seasons before Claire needs medicinal herbs which if she's not in the gardens of Castle Leoch then she has to find an apothecary shop. We had Master Raymond's shop from Season Two but now Claire goes to Haugh's Apothecary where we get to see a fantastic prop layout of all kinds of instruments and herbs.
Did Claire see the sign as she came up the Royal Mile in search of Jamie? Or was Haugh's Apothecary established back during the Rising when Claire was seeking herbs for Alex Randall and many other patients under her care?
The show hasn't said but according to the book it is the same shop but now the younger Haugh runs it. I was so hoping to see Claire exert her knowledge but then there is only so much time in an episode.
Some day Claire needs her own shop like this.
First, I want to tell you I know the answer to most of these as the books would answer them but I want to look at these questions like I've never read the books and actually see what we can make of what Outlander has told us so far. Here are the questions:
All great questions, let's see if we can come to some reasonable conclusions without referencing the books, not that I don't love my books but the show is bound to be a bit different and there are show watchers who just don't want to be spoiled.
