Now this is a development you can toast to, Outlander fans!
Another Outlander-themed wine series is about to go on the market for a limited time. The collection from Lot18 includes six wines that incorporate the names — or aliases — of Jamie and Claire.
For Jamie lovers, you can enjoy a full-bodied glass of Mo Nighean Donn, A. Malcolm, Red Jamie, or Mac Dubh. For those who prefer a perfumed cup o’ Claire, there’s Sassenach, La Dame Blanche, and Mo Nighean Donn (which is Gaelic for “my dark-haired lass”).
The collection goes on sale today, Oct. 9, at www.lot18.com/Outlander while supplies last.
This is for the Outlander quilters out there. According to International Business Times October will see the release of Outlander inspired fabrics a collection by Kathy Hall.
The fabric is reported to include 23 designs inspired by the show and six free quilt designs for quilters. The fabrics will come with three images from the Starz TV series.
The first image is of Claire with black and white images of Jamie and Frank behind her. The second picture will be of Craigh Na Dun and the third is of Claire running towards Jamie while Frank's hand is reaching for her.
I personally wish I was a quilter but I'm not much for sewing though I'd love to see the results of Outlander quilters effort.
For writers looking to make sure their next physical interlude on the page inspires readers to share the moment rather than to laugh at it, bestselling author Diana Gabaldon divulges the writing secrets behind the sex scenes in her wildly popular Outlander novels.
“Ask me to your bed,” he said. “I shall come to ye.”
In this revealing compendium, acclaimed writer Diana Gabaldon shares her invaluable lessons for creating an immersive reading experience, from evoking a mood to using the power of emotions to communicate physical intimacy. You’ll learn the difference between gratuitous sex and genuine encounters that move the story forward, and how to handle less-than-savory acts that nevertheless serve a narrative purpose. Gabaldon also notes that sex can be conveyed instead of described. With such tips as “The Rule of Three” for involving the senses, handy lists of naughty euphemisms (with instructions for use), and Gabaldon’s own examples from the Outlander novels, “I Give You My Body . . .” is a master class in writing to draw readers in and keep them riveted to the page.
