"OVER the next hour Richard Rankin will talk astrophysics, biscuits, spoof Twitter accounts, boy band aspirations, swapping IT for acting and the time Elaine C Smith saw him naked. Buckle up …
The Glasgow-born star of hit US television drama Outlander does a rapid-fire line in witty anecdotes. When we meet at the Soho Hotel in London, Rankin is in gregarious mood. There is a mischievous twinkle in his eye and it doesn't take long for us to go roaring off-piste."
Outlander returns to Starz on September 10 at 8 p.m. ET to continue the time-tripping saga of lovers Jamie Fraser (Sam Heughan) and Claire Randall Fraser (Caitriona Balfe), who, when the season begins, are not just separated by continents but by centuries. The story picks up where it left off, meaning season three will focus on events from Diana Gabaldon’s third novel in the series, Voyager.
Heughan and Balfe gave Parade a sneak peek of what to expect as the new season of Outlander unfolds.

I am standing in an ostentatiously nondescript modern building in Granton, a suburb of Edinburgh, next to a former marine biologist whose novels have sold in excess of 30m copies. We are looking at the backside of what resembles a large tartan onesie. The author is Diana Gabaldon, who is eagerly taking photographs on her mobile and gleefully saying she will be sending these to the person who does the costumes for Outlander, the TV series based on her cult sequence of novels that launched in 2014.
Karen at Outlander Observations shared her lovely find and I just couldn't help but want to continue sharing the awesome news that Outlander has been a trivia answer on Jeopardy. I personally think that is brilliant and I believe shows that Outlander is really getting out there.
Also you should follow Karen over at Outlander Observations. She's really on top of things.
It's finally back on for the time travel-afflicted lovers in Outlander season three. Viewers were devastated when Claire (Caitriona Balfe) and Jamie (Sam Heughan) were left facing 20 years apart in the season two finale. But luckily, the couple are set to find each other again in a "very heartwarming, very tender" reunion, Balfe told ELLE.com at the pre-Golden Globes BAFTA tea in Los Angeles.
