TV Fans, if you think about season 4 there are a lot of story lines which were left hanging. Here are just a few story lines PTBs (powers that be, ie writers and producers) need to address early on in season 5.
1. Are Roger and Brianna still married? They hand-fasted which is for a year and a day. Roger was gone the entirety of Brianna's pregnancy and then the wee one was 2 months old, the day before Roger returned. This means Roger and Bree have another month on their hand-fast. Will they marry? I mean we assume right? So do we get another wedding? PLEASE!
2. Roger and Brianna have this little boy now. What is his name? Bree waited for Roger before she gave the baby a name so what will it be? And will it be addressed immediately in the season premiere? I truly hope so because that child needs a name.
The following will contain NO spoilers for the upcoming season though it might have a few for Seasons 1-3 if you've not watched them.
Droughtlander seems dry and long even if it isn't quite as long as it has been in the past. So I thought I'd remind everyone what we do know about the upcoming season of Outlander.
When Will Season 4 Premiere?
There has been no premiere date set as of yet but considering production of Season 4 started directly after Season 3 (in some cases at the same time) then it is safe to say we aren't looking at an 18 month droughtlander. In fact, it is highly likely we are going to be looking at a fall release for Season 4 because show-runner Ron Moore told EW back in 2017 that they hoped to have new seasons every fall.
Last week we meet Marsali who may have seemed like just another character we will meet and then will later part company from Jamie and Claire; however, we will see a lot more Marsali in the future.
Lauren Lyle told Andrea Reiher of POPSUGAR:
"A few of us are newbies [this season], but it doesn't feel at all as though you're the odd one out. Everyone's super welcoming," said Lyle, who joined John Bell and Cesar Domboy as new recurring cast members in season three. "Everyone's so chill and laid-back and everyone's there to have fun. Everyone's like that. I was expecting it to be very regimented, but it's not. It really is like a laugh the whole time."
Lyle also told Reiher that she didn't want to say much about her character because it will spoil things but needless to say Marsali is going to be sticking around for a while.
You may have already heard the news but actress Lauren Lyle has been cast in the role of Marsali.
Marsali is described as:
"Marsali is the 18-year-old high-spirited daughter of Laoghaire. Blond and lovely, like her mother, she first was introduced in Season 1, when her youthful crush on Jamie Fraser was halted by his marriage to Claire, but Marsali has a rebellious and romantic mind of her own. She knows what she wants and she goes after it – reputation and propriety be damned."
Sounds a little like Laoghaire, no? Well, I believe the show fans will like Marsali a lot more.
