TV Fans, if you think about season 4 there are a lot of story lines which were left hanging. Here are just a few story lines PTBs (powers that be, ie writers and producers) need to address early on in season 5.
1. Are Roger and Brianna still married? They hand-fasted which is for a year and a day. Roger was gone the entirety of Brianna's pregnancy and then the wee one was 2 months old, the day before Roger returned. This means Roger and Bree have another month on their hand-fast. Will they marry? I mean we assume right? So do we get another wedding? PLEASE!
2. Roger and Brianna have this little boy now. What is his name? Bree waited for Roger before she gave the baby a name so what will it be? And will it be addressed immediately in the season premiere? I truly hope so because that child needs a name.
The following will contain NO spoilers for the upcoming season though it might have a few for Seasons 1-3 if you've not watched them.
Droughtlander seems dry and long even if it isn't quite as long as it has been in the past. So I thought I'd remind everyone what we do know about the upcoming season of Outlander.
When Will Season 4 Premiere?
There has been no premiere date set as of yet but considering production of Season 4 started directly after Season 3 (in some cases at the same time) then it is safe to say we aren't looking at an 18 month droughtlander. In fact, it is highly likely we are going to be looking at a fall release for Season 4 because show-runner Ron Moore told EW back in 2017 that they hoped to have new seasons every fall.
In one of the more tender scenes from “Of Lost Things,” the fourth episode from Starz’ Outlander, Jamie (Sam Heughan) offers his body to Lord John Grey (David Berry), a closeted gay soldier, in exchange for watching over his son, Willie, after he returns to Scotland.
Grey is, understandably, overwhelmed with emotion. “I should probably want you ’til the day I die,” he says to Jamie. But he declines Jamie’s offer.
Reached overseas by EW, Berry looks back at the scene and talks about how challenging it was for him and Heughan to communicate so much in so little time.
Check out these sneak peek photos of the Randalls and is that Joe Abernathy? Plus Jamie and Lord John and a behind the scenes image of the latest trailer. See below for the David Berry (Lord John Grey) interview.
It is official. Lord John Grey has been cast for Season Three. Australian actor David Berry will take over the role of Grey.
Lord John Grey is described, "He's steadfast and honorable British subject, torn between a finely-honed sense of familial duty and a strong moral compass of right and wrong. He is boyishly handsome with an upper class rearing — the consummate gentleman. However, a scandal from his past has relegated Lord John to an undesirable position as governor of a desolate prison in Northern Scotland.”
Berry is best knon for playing Jamies Bligh in the Australian TV show A Place to Call Home. He is also and singer and tours with the act Scream and Shout.
You can read more about him at IMDB.
You may have heard about these two but I'd thought I'd pass on the news anyway. Both Lord Lovat aka Simon Fraser and Young John William Grey have been cast!
Clive Russell will be playing Simon Fraser, also known as Lord Lovat. Simon is Jamie's paternal grandfather who was also a famous figure of the 45 (Jacboite Rising of 1745). Jamie's grandfather is nicknamed "the Old Fox" because of his manipulative personality and he often argues with his stubborn grandson. In history, Simon Fraser is the 11th Lord Lovat who was famous for his violent feuding and his changes of allegiance.
A young William Grey will be played by Oscar Kennedy. William is a young English soldier who will stumble into Jamie and Claire's path. He will be gallant if a bit out of his league when dealing with Jamie. This character will later become Lord John William Grey and it seems will then be recast.
