Live viewer numbers are in and 'Man of Worth' didn't do too shabby bringing in 1.45 million live viewers. Of course, it is the finale and the start of Droughtlander. I'm just not ready for it. I feel like we should have at least 3 more episodes.
Season four fell a little behind coming in with an average of 0.98 million live viewers which is the lowest average rating for Outlander with season one bringing in 1.03 million, season two bringing in 1.09 million and season three bringing in 1.51 million on average.
However, 'Man of Worth' brought in the most live viewers for a finale:
Still, I don't think this is something to stress. I have a feeling a lot of Outlander's watchers are actually streaming the show and/or watching at Midnight or even later showings. I actually have to wonder what the live viewer numbers are for the Midnight EST (9pm PST) showing because that seems like a huge thing. And while I'm streaming, I'm also watching at 9pm PST on Saturday.
See the entire seasons viewer numbers:
Great news. 'If Not for Hope' has brought in the highest live viewers for the season, currently, bringing in 1.27 million viewers. That is a large jump from last weeks episode which previously held the record at 1.16 million.
Let's hope this is a trend and the two remaining episodes also pull in large numbers.
Live viewer numbers for all Outlander episodes can be found on the show page.
'The Deep Heart's Core' jumped by around 0.15 million viewers this week bring in the most for this season at 1.16 million live viewers. So now that the holidays are over and life is getting back to normal maybe we have time to sit down and watch Outlander live. Or fans just needed Bree and Jamie to meet to make things interesting. Either way let's hope those streaming numbers are off the charts.
Not surprisingly, 'The Birds & the Bees' viewer numbers went up to a respectable 1.01 million viewers. Of course, this wasn't surprising considering the previews for this episode and the highly anticipated meeting of Jamie and Brianna which didn't disappoint book readers or show watchers. Now, we just have to see if Roger ever makes it back to Bree.
Outlander episode 408 titled 'Wilmington' took a dip in the live viewer numbers registering 0.91 million live viewers. This doesn't come as a surprise to me for two reasons.
First, it was Christmas weekend and many people had things going on. I for one was the extend family Christmas gathering which means watching it at another time and/or streaming it. Since streaming numbers are not included in the viewer numbers it is possible more people moved to streaming to watch at their convenience or simply watch a later showing.
Second, it is possible all those book fans knew what was coming and just put off watching it for a later showing. I know I considered it because the last thing I wanted to see was Bree's rape.
Either way, I'm betting the streaming and repeat showing numbers are good. I only wish we could see those numbers.
The viewer numbers climb again with 'Down the Rabbit Hole' bringing in 1.12 million live viewers. Now the question is will next week bring just a Brianna and Roger reunion or will we see more characters reunited in 408?
Live viewer numbers for 'Blood of My Blood' took a slight upswing this week with 1.04 million viewers. I wonder if that was because of Lord John's return or the inclusion of William. I did not watch the preview for this episode and wondered if Brianna would appear. No Brianna but John didn't disappoint. I wonder if Sunday's episode with Brianna will give the live ratings another boost.
The live viewer numbers for 'Savages' are in and they are staying steady from last week at 0.96 million viewers. I wonder if that has something to do with Murtagh's return? I'm curious is next weeks numbers will be higher considering Murtagh and the end of this episode. We'll see.
The live view ratings for episode 404 'Common Ground' have improved from last week. 'Common Ground' brought in 0.96 million viewers on Sunday.
Ratings are in and The False Bride brought in 0.86 million live viewers this week.
