Bel Air, Md., September 19, 2017 — “The Artifacts of Outlander,” an exhibit based on the popular Diana Gabaldon books and television series, opens Monday, October 2, at the Bel Air Library, 100 East Pennsylvania Avenue in Bel Air.
The exhibit is open when the library is open--Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
“The Artifacts of Outlander” will include 18th Century colonial-era artifacts from Maryland which visitors can compare to the “Outlander” television series on Starz.
The exhibit, which runs through Friday, December 1, is made possible with support from Maryland Humanities and the Jefferson Patterson Park and Museum.
“We are so excited to host ‘The Artifacts of Outlander’ exhibit at the Bel Air Library,” said Mary Hastler, CEO of Harford County Public Library. “Diana Gabaldon’s books and the television series are so popular with our customers. The exhibit and programs associated with it will be fun learning experiences for young and old alike.”
For everyone out there wondering if there would be a UK premiere event for Outlander season 3 much like there is in New York and Los Angeles, great news! You’re going to have a chance to check out the show early, provided of course that you are in the right place at the right time.
The fine folks over at the Radio Times are going to be offering up two screenings next week leading up to the show’s September 11 premiere on Amazon Prime Video (it airs here in America on Starz September 10). There are events in both London and Glasgow happening at 6:00 p.m. local time on Thursday, September 7. If you’re interested in attending, the link here gives you a little bit more information regarding how to do that.
You've probably seen them but if not here are some great panels and interviews out of San Diego Comic Con 2017
Apparently, the Outlander booth is one of the 7 top booths to visit at this years San Diego Comic Con. One of the reasons appears to be free freshly printed t-shirts? If I'm wrong tell me because I'm not there. Here are some lovely photos coming out of SDCC.
The panel from the Starz TV series will appear onstage on 21 July at 5 p.m. in Ballroom 20. Some fans will get to interact with team members at Booth 4029 the next day during the autograph signing.
Executive producer Ronald D. Moore, co-executive producer Maril Davis, author Diana Gabaldon, and cast members Caitriona Balfe (Claire Randall Fraser), Sam Heughan (Jamie Fraser), Tobias Menzies (Black Jack/Frank Randall), Sophie Skelton (Brianna Randall) and Richard Rankin (Roger Wakefield) will be attending the panel discussion. The team has promised to preview the next season during this event, but it’s not clear if a teaser trailer will be released.
Some of you might know that Sam is a big fan of Stranger Things. He got to meet Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) at Emerald City Con in NY. #fanboy
And if you haven't watched Stranger Things don't just take Sam's word for it... it's a really great show. Go watching it while we wait for Outlander.
On Wednesday, Outlander took home trophies at the 43rd People's Choice Awards! The awards they won include:
Unfortunately (depending how you look at it), Sam and Cait couldn't be at the PCA's because they were on location filming Outlander (I'm not really upset by that). However, Sam and Cait have a message which Starz posted to Twitter:
