Richard Rankin will be showcasing prints from his travels in a new exhibit. The exhibit which is called "His Mind's Eye," will be opening March 27 at the Littlefield Gallery NYC, Brooklyn, NY.
The exhibit will have a interactive element which allows visitors to take photos of themselves to be used in a future collection.
Rumor has it Richard Rankin our beloved Roger Wakefield/MacKenize will be at Wizard World. How I wish I could get to Cleveland but alas it is too far. But what about you? Are you going? If so head over to OUTLANDER ONLINE for a special discount. And don't forget to thank Marie & Paige over at OUTLANDER ONLINE.
Mark your calendar's Outlander fans because Cait, Sam, Sophie and Richard will all be in attendance at NYCC. And I'm going to bet because it is a month (or so) shy of the return of Outlander to our TVs that there will be some big stuff happening at this Con.
I wouldn't be surprised if they showed attendees the first episode of the season. I'm so jealous.
Even though this is great news, know that Outlander will not be at SDCC this year. Outlander typically is in attendance but because of scheduling and probably the amount of time between SDCC and November they just won't be there.
Currently in its third season, the Starz drama series Outlander has seen 20 years pass, as Jamie (Sam Heughan) and Claire (Caitriona Balfe) have attempted to make a life apart from one another work, separated by the centuries while each are haunted by the memory of their lost love. At the same time, it’s a fun balance to watch the budding relationship between their daughter, Brianna (Sophie Skelton), and Roger Wakefield (Richard Rankin).
"OVER the next hour Richard Rankin will talk astrophysics, biscuits, spoof Twitter accounts, boy band aspirations, swapping IT for acting and the time Elaine C Smith saw him naked. Buckle up …
The Glasgow-born star of hit US television drama Outlander does a rapid-fire line in witty anecdotes. When we meet at the Soho Hotel in London, Rankin is in gregarious mood. There is a mischievous twinkle in his eye and it doesn't take long for us to go roaring off-piste."
Dragonfly in Amber begins in 1968 at the wake of Rev. Reginald Wakefield. Roger is watching the Avengers with a group of children in a daze when Fiona comes and tells him he should really get back to his guests. Roger goes out and toasts his “father” [Rev. Wakefield was his Great Uncle but his adoptive father after the death of Roger’s parents].
Roger sees a red haired girl and goes looking for her. Getting distracted by those paying their respect he thinks he’s missed her when she finds him, asking if he’s Roger Wakefield. An older Claire appears reminiscing about how young Roger was the last time she saw him and him meeting her daughter but Roger says he’s not had the pleasure (boys got it so bad). Bree introduces herself. Then Claire explains she’s an old friend of his father’s and that her husband was also. Roger finally realizes Claire is Frank Randall’s wife. He mentions her being a nurse and she tells him she’s now a doctor but Brianna comments her mother is being modest because she’s actually a surgeon. Claire asks after Mrs. Graham and we learn she died a few years back. (So is that three deaths in the 1960s? Frank, Rev. Wakefield and Mrs. Graham.)
Claire goes to look around and remember her time at the Manse while Roger asks Brianna if it is her first time in Scotland. Brianna has always been interested in Scotland but they don’t have time to take in the sites which Roger thinks is a shame as it is a “beautiful, wild country.” Fiona appears and drags Roger off to say goodbye to his guests.
Entertainment Weekly's new edition hit the stands today and while the cover is about Star Wars Rogue One, mostly, there is a small indication that there is something Outlandish afoot.
"It's a girl for Claire and Jamie! Meet the much-anticipated addition to Outlander bonny Brianna (Sophie Skelton) and her love interest - a very grown-up Roger Wakefield (Richard Rankin)."
