1.55 million viewers
Just wow. 1.55 million viewers. That is quite the upswing this week. This brings All Debts Paid to #1 and the leader of the pack.
Top Five Episodes by the Numbers:
All Debts Paid opens on a lovely domestic scene of Claire reading medical books and Frank making Brianna an English breakfast because she's a bit too American for his taste. Claire spontaneously asks Frank to go to a movie but he's seen them with his girlfriend. Apparently they have an opened marriage though Frank is trying to be discreet. Can we say, didn't try much? This whole Frank think angers me beyond belief but I have to say the fact that is bothers Claire and she never fights for Frank to end those relationships kind of makes me mad at her too.
Scotland 1755, Major John William Grey appears for his new post being told there is no society except Red Jamie. He is not impressed with Jamie being present as he clearly remembers his first encounter with the Scot.
Jamie goes back into the cells to tell MURTAGH about the new Major. And we all get our lovely Murtagh back which likely means to us book lovers that we may not ever see Duncan Innes which I can deal with. Murtagh is alive! Murtagh is alive!

This battle closed Midnight September 30th.
Season Three's Episode Battle started with the return of Outlander Season Three and for the next 12 weeks episodes will be going head to head to determine the best episode of Season Three. The winner will be announced on December 18, 2017.
In the past we've done a writers battle after the season aired but I thought we'd change things up and have each episode battle it out. The weekly episode battles will end at midnight the day before the new episode airs.
I don't know how I missed this. You all probably have seen it but I had to share it.
Bel Air, Md., September 19, 2017 — “The Artifacts of Outlander,” an exhibit based on the popular Diana Gabaldon books and television series, opens Monday, October 2, at the Bel Air Library, 100 East Pennsylvania Avenue in Bel Air.
The exhibit is open when the library is open--Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
“The Artifacts of Outlander” will include 18th Century colonial-era artifacts from Maryland which visitors can compare to the “Outlander” television series on Starz.
The exhibit, which runs through Friday, December 1, is made possible with support from Maryland Humanities and the Jefferson Patterson Park and Museum.
“We are so excited to host ‘The Artifacts of Outlander’ exhibit at the Bel Air Library,” said Mary Hastler, CEO of Harford County Public Library. “Diana Gabaldon’s books and the television series are so popular with our customers. The exhibit and programs associated with it will be fun learning experiences for young and old alike.”
1.40 million viewers
Not bad at all. Surrender raked in 1.40 million viewers which is a 0.09 million decrease. That isn't too bad and is consistent with the some previous season decreases after the premiere.
Sassenach to Castle Leoch went from approximately 1 million views upon its early sample release (0.72 on August 9, 2014) to 0.89 million views for Castle Leoch. The second half of the first season debuted with 1.22 million viewers for The Reckoning and fell to 0.86 million viewers fro By the Pricking of My Thumbs.
The second season of Outlander opened strong with 1.46 million viewers for Through A Glass, Darkly and went down to 1.24 million viewers for Not in Scotland Anymore.
See there is a trend of high anticipation and then once those viewers know the show is airing they more than likely watch it later and are not contributing to the weekend live numbers. But as numbers go 1.40 million isn't bad putting Surrender in the top five rated episodes of the series.
Top Five Episodes by the Numbers:
Sadly, this knocks The Wedding into 6th place but I suspect that will get lower with the episode called A. Malcolm which airs October 22, 2017. I suspect that episode will pull in great numbers.
