Jamie tells Murtagh there will be no duel which isn't okay with Murtagh at all. Meanwhile, Claire works at the Hospital with Mr. Forez who warns her about the Kings wrath and the possibility of Raymond being taken as a heretic. Claire rushes off to warn Master Raymond who tells her he will leave the city though she shouldn't be seen with him.

Later, Jamie tells Claire he's saved her life as many times as she's saved his and they are even. He's decided to take up her terms because he wants Frank alive too. Jamie wants there to be a place for her and their child if he should die at Culloden. Jamie makes Claire promise to go back to Frank should he not be there for her. Claire comes up with the plan to make the shipment of wine look as though the crew has had a smallpox outbreak.

Later; Jamie, Claire, Murtagh and Fergus are dosing Jamie with their plan in hopes of making it seem like he's got smallpox. The idea is to poison the crew of St. Germain's ship to make it seem his ship is undergoing an outbreak. Murtagh isn't impressed and walks off angry. Jamie tells Claire it is time to tell Murtagh the truth and goes out into the courtyard to find his godfather. Once Jamie is finished Murtagh looks stunned and then hits Jamie for not telling him or trusting him with the knowledge sooner.

After a bit of recovery, Jamie and Fergus go off to Le Havre to point St. Germain's crew while Murtagh and Claire talk about her knowledge of the future. Claire makes it clear she doesn't know when they specifically will die or what will happen to them but she does know the Rising will fail. Murtagh doesn't think it would be easy to be burdened with such knowledge.

In Le Havre, Jamie and Fergus succeed in poisoning the crew and then quickly make they're way home.

Later, Jamie goes to Maison Elise where Charles is distraught over the ill luck while the Comte is suspicious. Charles insists Jamie go to Le Havre and retrieve the merchandise and bring it to his own warehouses so they can sell it and not lose their fortunes. Jamie is will to finish off what he started but a wrench is thrown into that plan when the Comte insists on accompanying him.

Jamie returns home and a new plan is formed. Jamie and St. Germain will escort the wine back to Paris and Murtagh will gather some thugs to help him steal the merchandise from Jamie and the Comte. Jamie and Claire have a farewell night together before the men are off on their schemes.

Claire spends some time with Louise and friends only to become annoyed when they don't seem to care about the poor in Paris. Claire goes to the Hospital but is clearly in pain. Mother Hildegarde insists she rests and spends the night there where Mother can keep an eye on things. When Claire lies down, Mother notices she's been bleeding but says it is normal.

On the road, St. Germain and Jamie are ambushed and Murtagh is about to shoot St. Germain when Jamie pushes the Comte out of his way and then wrestle with Murtagh who gets the upper hand and knocks Jamie out. The Comte is dragged away but so is the wine.

St. Germain suspects Jamie of revealing their plans while Jamie is angered, it is Charles who tells them not to fight amongst themselves. Charles is ruined and now owes money to the bank. Jamie returns home to be told by Fergus of Claire's stay at Hospital. She needed to rest and not be out walking home in the dark, something Fergus approved. Jamie tries to set down and eat but is again summoned to Maison Elise where Charles is refusing to pay his bill, likely because he has no money.

At Maison Elise, Jamie goes to take care of Charles's bill but wants Fergus to wait by the entrance for him. Fergus doesn't listen and goes off in search of pick-able pockets. He finds himself in one of the rooms and goes through things palming a vial of something. Someone enters behind Fergus trapping him inside.

Back at the house, Claire returns in pain and wondering about Jamie's whereabouts. Magnus and Suzette are tight lipped and then Suzette confesses the rumor of Jamie coming to blows with an English officer at Maison Elise. Claire is terrified and has Magnus take her to Bois de Boulogne where this duel is taking place.

At Bois de Boulogne, Claire find Randall and Jamie clashing with swords and she's horrified to realize that not matter the outcome one of her men will die. As Claire watches, her pain level increases until blood gushes between her legs. Jamie stabs Randall in the groin while Claire collapses and the gens d’armes arrive arresting all involved. Before Claire loses consciousness she tells Magnus to take her to Mother Hildegarde at the Hospital.

Dive deeper into episode 206 with exclusive sketches, production designs and fun facts delivered directly from the Outlander crew.
"The challenge for L'Hôpital des Anges was creating an environment which reflected the serenity and efficiency of a Catholic convent with the harrowing chaos of an 18th Century charity hospital.
The crypt at Glasgow Cathedral gave us a great space to play with. Fabulous architecture with the forest of columns giving us peeks at the grim scenes beyond.
In our research, we found an amazing image of a convent hospital that featured rows of four-poster beds with red velvet drapes and heavy emphasis on religious icons and devotion. This was so alien to our secular, modern day ideas of what a hospital looks like we were compelled to go with this look." –Gina Cromwell, Set Decorator
Prop Spotlight: Master Raymond's Book of Spells and Potions:: "As we were asked to provide text/copy as "background texture" for the open book rather than anything specific or readable, the material was sourced from various images/sources off the web and books in our own reference library.
This included a mixture of medieval illustrated manuscripts, herbals, occult texts, and generic magical symbols. In the end there were only 4 useable pages in the center.
They were printed onto a replica goat parchment and then hand detailed, colored and aged. The binding was also meant to look a bit sinister—the thought perhaps human skin. This was done with a mixture a leather, vellum, and tissue paper.
The book was meant to be of some age and look like it had been around a bit!
If I can remember it took about 10 days to make.
All our flat metal etching is done by talented guys at PPD, Ltd. in Argyll." –Karen Grosch of Whetton & Grosch
Louise's Dress: "I think this is one of the most exciting gowns we made this season. Once we started seeing what we could do with painting, I decided I wanted to try to make an entire gown with painted muslin (calico). Our fabrics are so insanely expensive, it is interesting to see what is possible with the very least expensive. I think the results are absolutely spectacular." –Terry Dresbach, Costume Designer
Louise's Apartment
"I was talking concept for Louise's apartment with Terry Dresbach, the Costume Designer, and she said that she was going to make her costumes as busy and frilly as possible.
So you will notice that Louise’s set walls have more ornamentation than any other set this season.
I used dark, deep color on the wall so that the actors would stand out from the walls. It’s busy as hell but it works!" –Jon Gary Steele, Production Designer
